In this day and age, people are constantly being stuffed with information, Distractions are at an all time high and people can’t find time to sit down and assess their actions. Phones ringing, texts buzzing, social media updates, negative propaganda in the news, maintaining a 9-5 job to stay afloat, personal time in order to remain sane, and a little bit of sleep to do it all over again.
As i’m sure you have heard, nothing worth while is accomplished over night. Water didn’t carve out the grand canyon in one day, it did it in one effort and such a marvel born of relentless consistency. In my opinion there are two types of people, those who are self motivated and those who can only maintain consistent motivated states from outside influences and/or circumstances. One who is internally motivated is that water, that relentless water carving out its path without a doubt that it could be stopped in the long run. One who requires external motivation is simply a product of his/her environment. His/her perspective will be reliant completely on circumstance, they will become victims of their own life, lacking control to take responsibility… Lacking the control to take the wheel.
Once you take control of your life, responsibility for your current position and strengthen your confidence in your ability, you will open a pathway in the sky. Only once you get these basic principles down and begin to change the way you think, consistently correcting yourself as negative thoughts creep in, you will be an unstoppable force. The reason most who embark on this journey of self empowerment give up is because a lack of consistency created from a lack of either patience, belief, or vision(or a combination of them). It is key to spend your time wisely, only the fool doesn’t value his time enough to squeeze the most out of it. It is also essential to constantly re evaluate yourself and your progress, create a goal book and check off and update small steps frequently. The biggest of goals can be attained by splitting them up into baby steps over time. Those who don’t find their dreams are those who are intimidated by them. Go get whats yours… Don’t except anything less than what you can imagine…
